On 31 May, 39 of Ireland’s next generation of design innovators had the opportunity to showcase their products designed to solve some common everyday challenges, as part of Maynooth University’s BSc Product Design & Innovation Degree Show. Using the principles of Design Thinking and user-centred research, each graduating student investigated a different everyday challenge. Through a process of problem defining, ideation and prototyping, they created design solutions that were realised and tested in real life conditions. The projects covered six categories – Equine, Sports, Agriculture, Home & Pets, Wellbeing & Health and Environmental & Industrial.
