Whether that means exploring future career paths, upskilling, securing a placement, or networking with potential employers, we’ll help you take that next step.

Whatever stage you’re at, our expert team is here to help. Students use Careers Connect | Placement Connect and our Careers & Employability portal to engage with us. Here students can book appointments with our team, send us questions, search for opportunities advertised to MU students/graduates, view career events and access Careers Interest tests, Sample CVs, CV and interview preparation tools and other useful resources.

Employability and Career Development

There are many benefits of attaining a Postgraduate degree, from enhancing your employability to achieving career growth. Recent research shows that 85% of postgraduates were in employment within 9 months of graduation in comparison with 67.81% of BA graduates.

Internships / Accredited Placement

Maynooth University students actively engage and undertake internships/placements as an integral part of their academic progression at major companies. This immersive experience cultivates essential life skills through placements in organisations such as Microsoft, Pfizer, IBM, Ericsson, Intel, Oracle and Accenture. Recent graduates from Maynooth University are now working in professions and sectors such as journalism, economics, financial services, technology, education, the voluntary sector and beyond

Maynooth University Student Experience Awards (MUSE Awards)
