A MESSAGE FROM THE CAREERS SERVICE: IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY!
The Careers Service at Maynooth University provides careers education, information, advice and guidance to students from first year onwards. We encourage students to get to know us in first year - we can help with discussions around subject choice and potential career implications, as well as gathering information on how to be prepared to take the next step in your career journey.
GRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Each year hundreds of employers contact the Careers Service seeking to advertise their graduate roles to our students. Many large organisations recruit hundreds of students into their graduate jobs (often called graduate programmes) and this recruitment process happens during final year – some as early as October - so the earlier you start building your employability awareness the better.
CAREERS CONNECT
Through Careers Connect (our Careers & Employability portal) students can ask questions of our careers advisers, book career guidance appointments, view jobs posted by graduate employers, see upcoming events and access resources to help with generating career ideas, finding careers information, planning your next step, building your CV, applying for jobs and/or postgraduate study and more.
