Located in the heart of Ireland’s only university town, we are just 25 kilometres from the city of Dublin. Surrounded by the rich heritage and beauty of Kildare, the university town has all you could need and all within walking distance.
Maynooth town has a diverse range of cafés, pubs and restaurants within walking distance of each other, making the town a lively place to live, study or simply visit. The Royal Canal Greenway is great for scenic walks or a cycle and is located a short walk from the campus.

Train Services
Maynooth lies on the Western Commuter Line, which serves the four Dublin city centre stations:
Pearse Street Station, Tara Street, Connolly Station and Docklands. It also serves thirteen other suburban stations: Drumcondra, Broombridge, Pelletstown, Ashtown, Navan Road Parkway, Castleknock, Coolmine, Clonsilla, Hansfield, Dunboyne, M3 Parkway, Leixlip Confey and Leixlip Louisa Bridge. The new Luas Broombridge Interconnector links Maynooth to the Red and Green Luas Lines. The Sligo train line passes through Maynooth to Dublin via Collooney, Ballymote, Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon, Dromod, Longford, Edgeworthstown, Mullingar, Enfield and Kilcock.
Bus Services
Maynooth is well served by the Dublin Bus C-Spine route network. Buses depart from the city centre and run frequent services to Maynooth.

Maynooth University is located 33 km south-west of Dublin Airport, 40 minutes by car. Multiple international airlines fly in to Dublin Airport from all over the world making us an accessible option for international study.
Parking – 2176 spaces
All students who need to be on campus during the core hours of 08:30 to 17:00hrs Monday – Friday will be eligible to apply for permits. Proof of registration and evidence of insured interest in the vehicle being registered may be required to obtain a permit.
A student who no longer requires a parking permit after semester 1 may return their permit and seek a reimbursement of €20. The permit must be returned, together with the Single Semester Student Reimbursement form to the Traffic Management Office at the end of semester 1.
Staff and students may only apply for one permit. Up to two vehicle registration numbers may be registered per permit but only one vehicle is permitted on campus at any given time.
Once an application has been validated, details on how the permit may be obtained will be communicated by email to each applicant.
