Application Process
Undergraduate Full-Degree Admission Requirements
Each student has to meet the mandatory subject requirements. Furthermore the student has to meet the English requirements, which are an IELTS score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each band or an equivalent. The entry requirements for prospective full-degree students are specific to each students country. Find more information on the entry requirements for your country on our website. Postgraduate Taught Full-Degree Requirements:
All prospective postgraduate taught full-degree students must hold a Bachelor degree which is considered equivalent to an Irish bachelor degree (e.g. Título de Bacharel /Título de Licenciado) with a minimum overall final result of 6.5 from a recognised university. Furthermore all mandatorz subject requirement must be met. The English requirements for our postgraduate degrees are an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.
Application Process
Maynooth University uses an online application platform called PAC www.pac.ie/maynoothuniversity
This application system allows applicants, for a fee of €50, to apply for one taught programme (a second choice programme can be added, this will only be reviewed if your primary choice is unsuccessful) or one research programme at Maynooth University. The application system opens in October and closes on the 1st of July of each year for the September commencement. The application fee is paid directly to PAC.
Prospective students are asked to send in official academic transcripts and diplomas as well as passport and a statement of purpose. Prospective postgraduate students are also required to send in two academic letters of recommendation in an official format (on headed paper). The application turnaround time is about two to three weeks, depending on the programmes you are applying for.
Before students submit an application through PAC, they must review the course finder so they know which course they are applying for and what date it closes for applications.
